William McQueen Corkindale III

William McQueen Corkindale III, 69, of Naugatuck died peacefully while surrounded by the love of his family at this home on Sunday, April, 17, 2022.  He was the beloved husband of Mary Rose (Hines) Corkindale.  Bill was born on February 23, 1953 in Aurora, Illinois a son of the late William M. Corkindale Jr and Dorothy (Kenyon) Corkindale.

Bill was a graduate of Aurora University with a bachelor’s degree in business where he made many lifelong friends.  He spent his career in the banking industry, retiring as Vice President of the Private Bank of Boston.

Family was everything to Bill.  He and his family bonded over an enjoyment of sports and made great memories vacationing on Cape Cod.  His healthy sense of humor lit up the room during times spent with family and friends.  An avid golfer, he cherished his hole-in-one as well as many afternoons golfing with friends at East Mountain Golf Course in Waterbury. 

Left to cherish his love and memory are his wife Mary Rose of 35 years and sons William IV and Joseph.  He also leaves his sister Heather and her husband Stephen Fontaine of Prospect as well as his aunt Catharine Holczer and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Deborah Corkindale.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd., Prospect.  Friends are invited to visit with the Corkindale family on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home is honored to assist Bill’s family during this very difficult time.  Please visit www.prospectmemorial.com to share a favorite memory, photo or words of comfort for the Corkindale family.
