Stephen C. Noble, 77, of Antrim NH, formerly of Prospect, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2021 at Smilow Cancer Center with his wife by his side. He was the beloved husband of Pauline (Lisowicz) for over 57 years. He was born in Waterbury on June 27, 1944, the son of the late Glenn and Elizabeth (Rowell) Noble.
Steve was a resident of Prospect, CT, for over 55 years. While living in Prospect, he started Noble Heat & Fuel, Inc. where he serviced many customers in Prospect and surrounding areas for many years. He was a parishioner of Prospect Congregational Church where he served as Chairman of the House Committee, and was in charge of many improvements and projects to maintain the church building.
After retirement, Steve built a home in Antrim, NH, and moved there in 2000. He raised several cottages onto foundations on Franklin Pierce Lake in Antrim and Hillsborough, NH. He was a hard worker and throughout his lifetime helped his friends and family with many of their projects. Steve was a lifelong avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed the outdoors and the Florida sunshine but more than anything he loved spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memory and honor his love and legacy are his wife Pauline Noble, son Glenn and his wife Danielle of Prospect, CT, grandchildren Allison of Wakefield MA, Keith of Waterbury CT, and Melissa and Madison of Prospect, CT. He also leaves his son-in-law Paul Lauer of Port St. Lucie FL and Paul’s children Carol-Anne Lauer of Naugatuck, CT and Zachary Lauer of Sturbridge, MA. He was predeceased by his sister Stella O’Brien, his brother Philip Noble and his daughter Traci-Ann Lauer.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Prospect Memorial/The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd., Prospect. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Internment will immediately follow services at Prospect Cemetery.
