Richard Alfredo Obituary

Richard S. Alfredo, 58, of Prospect passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the adoring husband of Cindy (Andro) Alfredo. Rich was born April 25, 1962 in New Haven, CT, son of Gail (Breff) Marchitto and the late Werner Alfredo.

Prior to his illness, Rich was working in IT as a systems architect for Trinity Health.  He took pride in taking care of his family and his home, and was always generous with his time to help friends. Rich was multitalented -- from riding and building motorcycles to running his own business, he always seemed to know the answer. He loved hunting with his bird dog Gunther and, most importantly, spending time with his family. Rich was an outdoorsman; he was a member of the NRA, an officer of the Bristol Fish and Game Club, and a member of both the American Motorcycle Association and HOG Association. He made friends wherever he went, always “living the dream”. Rich was a devoted husband, loving father and true friend. He will be greatly missed.

Left to honor Rich’s love and legacy are his wife Cindy, daughters Jessica of Rhode Island and Danielle of New Haven, brothers Curt Alfredo of North Haven, Eric Alfredo of New York, and Randy Alfredo of Arizona, sisters Krista Alfredo Ferguson of Arizona and Gretchen Alfredo Jackson of Texas, mother Gail Marchitto of North Haven, stepmother Ellen Rauscher Alfredo of Arizona and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
