“ A devoted father & grandfather”
Raymond L. "Ron" Falcioni, 77, of Naugatuck died peacefully at Griffin Hospital while surrounded by his loving family. He was the widower of the late Mary Jane Falcioni. Ron, son of the late Orlando and Frances (Cybart) Falcioni, was born December 29, 1944 in Derby, CT.
Ron was the proud owner and operator of Shop E-Z Market, later known as Ron's Foodmart. He was a skilled meat cutter; his personalized service and smile were a trademark for all who knew him. He went on to work at Bozzuto’s in the meat sales department, and retired in 2017. Always physically fit, he would often be seen taking his daily walk or jog, waving at friends along the way. He also proudly served his country in the US Army Reserves.
Ron had been a member of bowling leagues, a volunteer for bingo, and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Anthony's Church. He loved playing cards with family and friends, and enjoyed taking vacations and trips to the casino with his wife. Most of all, Ron loved his family. He was always willing to help others, and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. It brought him great joy to spend time with his three daughters, son-in-law, and six grandchildren, especially at family gatherings. He had missed his beloved wife greatly, and is now reunited with her in Heaven.
Left to cherish his love and memory are his daughters Sheryl (Anthony) Parrella of Prospect, Cindy Falcioni of Harwinton, and Sandra Bertrand of Prospect, along with his six grandchildren Jenna and Alyssa Parrella, Caitlyn (Alex) Smith, Christa St. Jarre, Amanda and Zacary Bertrand. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Falcioni of North Branford and sister, Robin (Herb) Smith of Derby.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11 am at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Rd., Naugatuck.
