Judith (Ariola) Hankey, 75, of Prospect passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Judy leaves behind her devoted and loving husband of 54 years Edward J. Hankey Sr.

Judy was born May 9, 1946 in Waterbury, Connecticut to the late Anthony and Nancy (Capaldo) Ariola, she was predeceased by her brother Robert Ariola and sister Dorthy Harrigan and leaves behind a brother Paul Ariola and sister Shirley Maslak. She leaves behind three children; Edward Hankey Jr. and his wife Erin of Southbury, David Hankey and his wife Robin of Prospect and Debra Hankey of Bucksport, Maine. In addition to her children she leaves behind seven grandchildren Dillon, Derek, Michael, Matthew, Mia, Alex and Jack.

Judy often enjoyed attending car shows and cruises, enjoyed crafting and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Judy’s family wishes to thank VITAS and Griswolds with a special thank you to Maria and Selena for their attentiveness and care of Judy.

Per Judy’s wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service.
