Juan G. Montalvo-Rodriguez

Juan Gabriel Montalvo-Rodriguez, 43, beloved son, father, brother, uncle and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 20, 2022 in Waterbury. Juan was one of ten children, born on February 17, 1979 in Yauco, Puerto Rico to Luis Montalvo and Gloria Rodriguez-Torres.

Juan worked for JPC Landscaping since 2010.  His hard work, work ethic and outgoing personality made him a favorite with many accounts.  He logged a tremendous number of hours on the “48” over the tenure with JPC.  He truly loved his job.

Besides work, Juan was a sports fan; his favorite teams were the Yankees and the Denver Broncos.  He loved to swim at the pool, fast cars and watching the street races and burn outs.  His kids were his joy, playing hide and go seek and just being together.  If you knew Juan, you loved him.  He enjoyed life, was honest with his feelings and could be counted on by each of his children to come to their side whenever called.  He will be tremendously missed by his family and many friends.

Left to cherish Juan’s memory are his parents Gloria and Luis, his six children: Valery Montalvo-Nazario and her significant other Ramon, Juan Montalvo-Nazario, Shakira Montalvo-Nazario and her significant other Anthony, Jayden Montalvo, Jeremy Montalvo, and Lilyana Damicus, and grandchildren Nikolai Colon and Kehlani Colon.  He is also survived by his nine siblings: Luis Montalvo-Rodriguez, Camilo Montalvo-Rodriguez, Manfredo Montalvo-Rodriguez, Wilson A. Montalvo-Rodriguez, Gloria I. Montalvo-Rodriguez, Hector D. Montalvo-Rodriguez, Yesenia Montalvo-Sanchez, Nashaly Montalvo-Medina, and Daniel F. Gonzalez, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 11am - 1pm with a funeral service at 1pm, at the Prospect Memorial / The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd. in Prospect, CT.   Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home is honored to be assisting Juan’s family.
