Joan M. Howard

Joan M. Howard, 76, of Naugatuck, passed away March 30, 2024. She was born May 24, 1947 to the late Frank and Yvette Meady. Joan now joins her late husband James L. Howard after 10 years of missing him.
Joan was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and adored spending time with her family. She lived every day to the fullest and spent many days vacationing and shopping. She enjoyed relaxing at the beaches, especially in Aruba and Cape Cod. Joan enjoyed taking the time to decorate each season for the upcoming holiday; Christmas was always her favorite. Joan was the food service manager for Region 16 for more than 20 years. May her generous and free spirit live on through others.
Joan is survived by her loving children Timothy Howard and his wife Christina Howard of Naugatuck and Scott Howard and his wife Maureen Howard of Stratford. She also leaves her grandchildren Laceie and Brendan Howard, her great-grandchildren Wyatt and Kameren Ackley, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in life by her brother Kenneth Meady.
