Janina Tomaiolo ,78, of Prospect, passed away peacefully while surrounded by the love of her family on January 23, 2024 at Vitas, St. Mary’s Hospital. Janina was the loving wife, soulmate and best friend of Robert Tomaiolo for 43 years. Born February 25, 1945 in Poland, Janina was a daughter of the late Edward and Halina Napiorkowski. She entered the United States at the age of 14, having escaped the tumult of the country at that time and fell in love with her new country.
Janina attended Post College. She later became the office administrator and partner with her husband in their metal finishing company White Welding for almost 30 years until the time of her illness with Multiple Sclerosis. She loved flowers, folk music, the BeeGees, nice cars, dogs and spending precious time with her family. Although she was wheelchair bound for the last 25 years, Janina kept her sunny smile and positive attitude. She was a loving wife, beautiful mother and cherished “Babci”.
Left to cherish her love and memory besides her devoted husband Bob are her sons Brian of Florida and Mark Krause of Waterbury, stepson Leo Tomaiolo (Doreen) of Prospect and stepdaughter Jennifer Tomaiolo of NYC. She also leaves her adoring grandchildren Matthew Tomaiolo, and Brody, Bryce and Indiana and Arizona Krause as well as her nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to visit with the Tomaiolo family on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 3pm to 4pm at Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd., Prospect which will be immediately followed by a Celebration of Life service at 4pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Please share your online condolences and support for Janina and her family at www.prospectmemorial.com.
