James (Jimmy) Dwy 52, of Naugatuck passed away unexpectedly on October 26, 2022. Jimmy was born on June 25, 1970 in Havelock, North Carolina, the son of the late Rob and June (Alsdorf) Dwy who predeceased him earlier this year. He attended Naugatuck schools.
Jim was a self-employed carpenter who loved motorcycles and riding, rebuilding trucks with his Dad, scuba diving and most of all his children. Jimmy had a passion for creating things with his hands and for spending time in the pool with his treasured grandchildren.
Jimmy is survived by his son Christopher Dwy and his daughters Jessi Dwy and Jami Britt and her husband Taray as well as his sisters Jacqueline Dwy and fiancé David Broadus and Jennifer Dwy, all of Naugatuck. Jimmy also leaves his cherished grandchildren: Devin Caulfield, Yahmad Rountree Jr., and Aria and Aila Britt in addition to his niece Sabrina Dwy, great nephew Cameron Alvarado, nephew Jaylen Kelley, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins as well as his beloved dog Opie.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Prospect Memorial/The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd., Prospect followed by a Celebration of Life Service led by Pastor Patrick Evans. The family would like to thank the Naugatuck Police Department and especially Chaplain Patrick Evans for their kindness during an especially difficult time.
