Gary "Ginzo" Shaw

Gary “Ginzo” Shaw, 60, of Oakville and formerly of Waterbury died Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the VITAS Hospice Unit at Saint Mary’s Hospital after a long illness.  Gary was born in Waterbury on November 19, 1960, the son of Shirley (Ouellette) Shaw and the late Richard Shaw Sr.

Gary grew up and lived in the East Mountain section of Waterbury for most of his life.  He graduated from Crosby High School.  Before his illness, he held several different jobs over the years, from a vending machine company, to a greenhouse nursery, some construction, painting, and mechanical work as well.

Gary leaves behind his beloved mother Shirley (Ouellette) Shaw of Waterbury; his two adored daughters Amber Bene of Bristol and Ashlee Shaw of Waterbury; his brothers Richard Shaw Jr. (Julie) of Monson MA, Steven Shaw of Waterbury, Thomas Shaw (Paula) of Prospect, his sisters Deborah Sousa of Bristol, Lisa LeBlanc (Dave) of Watertown, and Linda Stevens of Oakville; and his many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Gary was predeceased by his father Richard Shaw Sr. of Waterbury, and his brother David Shaw of Cedar Creek, Texas.
