Gail Dwyer

Gail P. (Short) Dwyer, 79, of Southbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on January 7, 2022 at Waterbury Hospital.  She was the widow of her beloved husband Robert Dwyer as well as first husband George Jagun. 

Gail was raised in Ansonia and was a 1959 graduate of Ansonia High School.  She went on to become a legal secretary and later in life as a homemaker.  She adored the beaches of Cape Cod while on her annual trips with her husband Robert.  She took great joy in spending time with her grandchildren. 

Gail and her husband enjoyed wonderful friendships with their neighbors at Heritage Village. After her husband’s passing, she then moved to Grace Meadows where she made yet more close friends.

Left to cherish her love and memory are her children Lisa Jagun DuQuette (John Duquette) of Seymour, CT, Stepdaughter, Cathay Dwyer Kogut of Seymour, CT, and Stepson Bob Dwyer of Panama City, FL., as well as grandchildren Anita Coleman and Paige DuQuette, Megan, Aubrey, Casey, and Allison Kogut, Jill and Bryan Dwyer and Ronda Wright, and beloved great granddaughters Emma Wright and Aria Coleman. Gail also leaves her sister Jacqueline Corning of New Haven.  She was predeceased by her husband Robert Dwyer and first husband George Jagun.
