Fred Hill Jr., 71, of Parsons, Tennessee formerly of Prospect, left this earthly life on January 6, 2020. He was born July 18, 1948 to Thomas and Audrey (Outrim)Hill. Fred honorably served his country in the US Army from 1967-1969, serving one of those years in Vietnam (“Eleven months and twenty-one days” according to Fred), he loved his country.
He was a strong hard worker, always ready to lend a helping hand. He lived life fully. Fred enjoyed many hobbies including traveling, fishing, camping, golfing, his Harley and playing guitar. He loved flying and being a private pilot. Fred was like a brother to Gary, his former brother-in-law. He taught him to drive a tractor trailer “on the spot” by opening the door and walking around the back of the cab while driving 60 miles per hour. Fred was a generous man, he even took a loan out for Gary so he could buy his first car, the 65 Mustang of his dreams.
Fred is survived his wife Melodie of Tenn., his children Stacie Barnes of Wallingford, Frederick Hill III of Florida and Heather Hill of New York, brothers David and Tom Hill of Oxford, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
