Carole W Caswell

Carole W. Caswell, beloved mother and grandmother,  82, of Prospect formerly of Alabama, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on  April 21, 2022.  She was the widow of John A. Caswell.  Born on Christmas day, December 25, 1939 in Roosevelt , New York, Carole was the daughter of the late Donald and Ann (Gibson) Wright. 

Carole graduated from Amityville Memorial High School. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oneonta and later obtained a master’s degree from Fairfield University.  Carole was a dedicated and caring teacher for over 30 years in Nassau County, Ny,  Alameda County, Ca., and Shelton School systems.  She and her husband traveled the world later in life teaching in the International Schools of Hong Kong, China, Mogadishu, Somalia and Bangkok, Thailand.

Carole loved spending time with her family, her grandchildren were the light of her life.  As an avid reader and talented educator, she instilled the love of learning to her children and grandchildren. 

Left to   cherish her love and memory are her son Mark and his wife Tracy, her daughter Caryn Caswell and grandchildren Nicole Goodwin, Kristen Goodwin-Szwech and her husband Kenneth, Joshua Caswell, Mathew Caswell and Cameron Caswell.  She is predeceased by her husband John Caswell of 56 years.
