Brian Volovski Obituary

Brian Volovski, 52, of Prospect, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on their farm in Northfield on Thursday, June 16, 2022. He was the loving husband and best friend of Amy (Stults) Volovski, who was the light of his life.

Brian was born on March 6, 1970 in Torrington, CT to Deborah (Brade) and Joel Volovski. He grew up in Thomaston and graduated from Thomaston High School before moving to Northfield with his family. Brian worked for UPS for over 30 years in various positions, beginning with a job in high school and working his way up to a tractor trailer driver, a job he enjoyed tremendously. Brian loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, a hobby he shared with his son Zachary. He would often go to Cape Cod to spend time with his family on the water and fish. Brian also loved sports; the Boston Red Sox, and the Boston Bruins were his team favorites. Brian was a volunteer firefighter for the town of Middlebury, comradery and dedication were a strong part of Brian’s personality.  After being diagnosed with brain cancer, Brian found comfort and solace in horse therapy at Hidden Acres Farm in Naugatuck and loved sharing this experience with his son Seth. Family was the center of Brian’s life, every element of his life was dedicated to better their lives.

Left to cherish his love and honor his memory are his wife and soulmate Amy, his sons Zachary and Seth, his parents Joel and Debby of Northfield, and his brother Justin Volovski of Milford.  He is also survived by his nephew Jackson Volovski; his father-in-law Bill Stults of Naugatuck; his brother-in-law Bill Stults, Jr. and his significant other Lori Hamel Naugatuck; his sisters-in-law Lori Stults of Naugatuck, and Emily Kauslya and her significant other Jeramy Marshall of Wolcott. Also left to cherish his memory are multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins, his very close friends Dave Lenkowski and Chip Longo, and all his friends at the UPS Feeders Department.

Brian is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Helene (Desrochers) and Donald Volovski of Brewster, MA; his maternal grandparents Phyllis (Stauffer) and Robert Brade of Watertown; his mother-in-law Carolyn (Freer) Stults of Naugatuck; his aunt Carol Bauby; and his uncle David Volovski.
