Angela Marie (Magnarella) Deimantas

Angela Marie Deimantas, 90, of Prospect, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. She was the widow of her beloved husband of 68 years August “Gus” V. Deimantas.

Angela was born on January 11, 1932 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Simon and Alvera (D’Auria) Magnarella.  She liked to play bingo and was a huge UCONN Women’s Basketball fan.  Angela was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. 
 

Left to cherish her memory is her son Thomas Deimantas and his wife Karen of Anna Maria, FL; her brother Joseph Magnarella and his wife Alice of Prospect; her sister-in-law Carol Magnarella of Prospect; her grandchildren Tomee Lee Jones and her husband Brien of Greenville, NC, and Taylor Jo Caudill and her husband David of Minneola, FL; her great-grandchildren Jax and Lynnlee Jo Caudill; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Angela is predeceased by her brothers William and Simon Magnarella, Jr.

Friends and family are invited to visit with Angela’s family from 9:30 to 11:30am on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Prospect Memorial / The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd., Prospect, followed by procession to St. Anthony Church, 4 Union City Rd., Prospect, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00pm. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery, 2324 E Main St., Waterbury.
