Agnes Marie (Perezzella) Dufour, 73, of Waterbury passed away peacefully while surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Vitas IPU. Agnes fought a long courageous fight against Alzheimer’s and is now no longer suffering. She was the loving wife of Henry J. Dufour Jr. Agnes and Henry spent a loving 52-years together as husband and wife. Agnes was born February 7, 1948, in Waterbury, CT. She was the daughter of the late Rocco and Louise (Rainaldi) Perezzella.
Agnes was the kindest and nicest person you would ever want to meet. Nothing would bother Agnes. She would just say, “Whatever”. Perhaps you remember Agnes from Costco, she was the pleasant sales associate at the exit door for many years. She enjoyed working on her personal computer at home, doing arts and crafts, and baking. Her cheesecake was exceptional. Most of all Agnes loved her family. She and Henry created many joyous memories raising their three sons. The light of her life was her grandchildren, they were her everything.
Agnes will be missed dearly. Left to mourn her passing and honor her love and memory are her husband Henry Jr, her sons Henry “Hank” (Rose Legen) of Prospect, Jeffrey of Waterbury and Ricky (Jennifer) of Fla., and her precious grandchildren Cody Dufour and Sara Dufour. She also leaves her sister Phyllis Owens of Az., many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Agnes was predeceased by her brothers Rocco and John Perezzella and sisters Margaret Mancini and Angela Dionne.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Mary’s Hospital emergency room and Vitas Hospice for all their help and kindness.
There are no services planned at this time.
Prospect Memorial/The Palmerie Family Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Dufour family through this difficult time. You are invited to share a memory, some photos, or words of comfort for Agnes’s family on her tribute page.
